Personality: Moon is a shy wolf, hestitant to make new friends. As well as being a tad shy, when she gets a bit confident, she also has a sarcastic sense. She also likes hanging out with older wolves, and doesn't really get along with young pups; she's afraid that she'd disturb their mother and make all kinds of "mistakes." However, among her close friends, she is perfectly at home. She likes affectionate play, but she also prefers peace and quiet. She really likes hanging out with her best friend, who's more than a year older that her, Cloud.
History: As a pup, Moon lived in a small but dying pack. Because they had no food, Moon's parents abandoned her in a conifer stand , leaving her to die. But an enterprising yearling who just escaped her pack (also dying) found Moon and brought her long with her. She introduced herself as Cloudedwind. Cloud taught Moon everything she needed for survival, and, together, they found Moon's name: Moonlighthowl. They were best of friends, even to the end, when they were on a hunt and got separated from eachother. But still Moon searches for her lost friend, in hope that she, someday, will find her.                               Along the way of her search, she found a pack ad got to know some of its members. But then she found an interesting scent, and decided to follow it, wherever it had come from. So she continued on, on with her search... until now.

(Hey April, here's what I was going to post in BTH before it shut down. It's sort of a connection between the two packs, and even though Moon does have different colors, her character is pretty much the same! Cheers, Moon)

Moon was dozing in the sunshine, in the tall grasses, in the Hunting Grounds. She was still sleeping when the small wolf pack left the kill for the main den. Still Moon slept. She was restless, twitching and turning. Moon was dreaming of something she DID NOT want to dream about. It was about a light gray wolf with warm blue eyes. Just the color of Moon's eyes, but warmer, more comforting. In the dream, she gazed down at Moon and said something. Moon didn't know what she said, but it was reasurring. Moon shifted. One of the bison across the meadow stamped in the snow, waking Moon. She slowly opened her clear, bright blue eyes. She whimpered mournfully. Did they ever wonder, Moon wondered, did they ever wonder who raised her, helped her, taught her how to live? Taught her how to hunt? Taught her the meaning of friendship? No. They never knew. And she was probably never going to tell them. A tear traced its way down Moon's cheek. Then she had a flashback.

She and her friend, who was a year older, were hunting together, practicing, until a bull ran towards them. Moon got separated from her friend. She was scared, terribly scared. She ran away in no particular direction, but the herd spooked; she happened to be running towards them. The herd stampeded towards her. Moon yelped and ran towards the woods.

After everything cleared, she went back to find her friend. She searched everywhere, but still couldn't find  her. Her friend? Gone?

The last question echoed in Moon's head. All of a sudden, Moon was afraid of what had happened to her best friend, yet determined to find out. She would leave her pack, and go looking for her friend. She remembered everything: the clearing, where it was, the prey, how to find it. She felt sad to leave her small pack, but saying bye wouldn't do any good. She would go-- alone.
